Veedersburg – James Crane, 68 years old, died at a hospital in Lafayette of complications. He had been a patient at the hospital for almost a month. He leaves a wife.

James Crane of Veedersburg, died at 12:30 o’clock Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth hospital. He had been in the hospital since May 19 and death was due to complications. Mr. Crane, who was 68 years of age, is survived by his widow who was at the bedside when death came.

JR Crane, wife and daughter attended the funeral of Fletcher Crane at Osborne’s (sic) Prairie Church Sunday.

Veedersburg – Fletcher Crane, 68 years old, farmer, near here, died at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette Friday noon after several weeks’ illness of dropsy. The deceased had spent his entire life in his county, his parents being pioneer settlers of the Osborn Prairie settlement north of this city. He leaves one brother, Frank, and one sister, Mrs. Fletcher Minnick, both of Stone Bluff.
